This is a blog designed to trace the creative collaboration during the design and production process for Mountain View College's Spring 2013 performance of Alan Ayckbourn's sci-fi comedy, "Comic Potential."
The only thing I would suggest is that the dining table be a little larger, and that the table cloth hang down lower, to disguise the comic bit in Act Two underneath a bit better. Obviously, that's more of a props/set dressing issue, but that's the primary thing I notice. I also liked the drawings you posted yesterday of the various control panels.
Can you try a few other designs on the screen in the Boutique? It looks a little 19th century/"Hello Dolly!" right now. Would love to see a few other pattern options.
Any ideas for machines that go PING! or other medical accoutrements in the hospital room? Also, a little bedside table with a vase of flowers, a plant, etc., could help liven it up a tad.
Great progress, Jeremy!
